Autumn in Jersey : Taken during a walk through St Catherine's woods, Jersey with my boys after a wet November. It felt a little like how I would imagine a biathlon - sprinting after them to try and keep up, then stopping and freezing to take a shot. (Had no tripod, just my knee). Winter is nearly here..

Mont Orgueil Castle : Fantastic 12th Century castle in Gorey Village (no I did not make up the name to make the castle sound more dramatic), steeped with history, surrounded on 3 sides by the sea and enjoying fantastic views over this picturesque part of the island of Jersey, it is well worth a visit. Enjoy and try not to be afraid, it is a little spooky.... If you survive, sorry, I meant; If you like this gallery - please feel free to leave a comment or two.

Sri Lanka : This was a family holiday in Sri Lanka in April 09. All I can say about it is "Wow, what a place". If Sri Lanka is not on your list of places to visit, I would recommend adding it. The people, the sights, the smells, the food all added up to make an amazing sensory experience and we loved every minute we were there.

Stormy Weather : Some strong winds combined with some very high spring tides (40') caused some spectacular seas and a fair amount of damage on Monday 09/03/08 and Tuesday 10/03/08. These are not very good technically, most were taken in hurricane force winds, but they do hopefully show the surprising power of the sea!

Venice 2007 : Quite simply an intense sensory experience. The smells, the sounds, the sights are fantastic and the photo opportunities are limitless. If you have not been, try and get there !

Low water fishing : We get a 40ft tidal movement here in Jersey. In some areas of the beach at low tide, that uncovers quite a lot of shellfish. (oysters, mussels, cockles, winkles, limpets, razorfish.......) The tide takes a little over 6 hours to rise and then 6 hours or so to fall. These photos were taken at St.Aubin's beach about an hour before low tide.
